Follow these instructions to generate a CSR for your Web site. When you have completed
this process, you will have a CSR ready to submit to eWAY in order to be
generated into a SSL Security Certificate.
OpenSSL is the open source project that replaced SSLeay. If you are using SSLeay
on your system instead of OpenSSL, substitute ssleay with openssl for the commands.
To create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) :
- Log in to the eDirectory tree as an administrator with the appropriate rights and
Start ConsoleOne
- Right-click the container object that contains the server for which you want to
enable SSL, then select 'New', 'Object'. Click the 'Security' tab, then 'certificates'.
- Double-click NDSPKI:Key Material in the list box in the New Objects dialog box.
- This opens the Create a Server Certificate dialog box and the corresponding wizard
that creates the Server Certificate object. Complete the wizard with your company
and site information.
- When you reach the final stages of the wizard, select the 'File in Base64 format'
radio button, and specify a path and filename for your CSR. Click Save to complete
generation of your CSR and your CSR will be saved to the location that you have
specified.
Enter the CSR into the eWAY
® enrollment pages at the appropriate time.
