What is an IMF?

An IMF is a specialised bank account designed to receive the proceeds of online transactions and transfer them to your settlement account, which is usually your regular business bank account. These transactions are processed in seconds and typically settled at the end of each business day.

The cost for this service varies from bank to bank, but always includes a small percentage of each transaction and some account-keeping fees. These are seperate from eWAY's fees.


How do I get started?

To take online payments you will need a settlement account, an IMF and an eWAY account. eWAY has more than 22 banking partners, making it quick and easy to get an obligation-free quote for an IMF.
